Fall in the Air....and I Love it!

How I love this time of year! I'm looking out my window from the loft and see splashes of red maples and yellow aspen...It has begun..the magic of September on Cedar Mountain. I feel so blessed to live in such a beautiful place...in fact today I feel so blessed with so many things. Yesterday was our first Farmers' Market in Salt Lake. The Lord has blessed us with such an abundant crop to sell. Farmer Joe did work awfully hard to get it in the ground and the grandsons certainly helped with the weeding and watering, etc. but Heavenly Father truly blessed us this first year of farming! Joe, Beau and Cheryle were able to sell most everything and even on a Labor Day week-end. You notice my name is not there...I went up to the Farm on Thursday and we picked beans and corn all day Friday but somewhere between 11:00 p.m., Friday and 2:00 a.m. Saturday I caught the gumboo and couldn't raise my head off the bed. To make matters worse the power went off and Joe was trying to pack the truck, take care of a moaning wife and get ready to be at market by 7:00 a.m. (2+ hours away) But you know what? He did it. He left the house by 5:00 a.m. called Jen to come and take care of me and called Beau to help him at market....and everyone came to our rescue..,.,Thank you dear family for again bailing us out...you are the best. Jennifer drove me to Brigham City and Joe drove back up after market to meet me. I do believe I am married to a super hero...how did he accomplish all of that; packing and loading the produce, driving to SLC from Idaho, setting up his booth, driving back to Brigham City and driving us home to the mountain... and up at 5:00 again to get to Bishop's meeting..wow...would you believe we've been married for 49 years! Amazing I'd say. He's never failed me yet. anyway my heart is full with admiration and love for this amazing "PaPa Joe". Sounds like all the football and soccer players are really doing well and our college gal and high school senior are already in the midst of a very exciting year. We sure hope we can see some of their games and performances with our many trips to the north country! I love you all so much...thanks for being such a great family...Have a wonderful Fall!
