November? You're Kidding....

Well here I am in a beautiful winter wonderland. We have about 2 feet on the ground and the trees are all flocked and shimmering! My very favorite time of the year on the mountain...Hope all is well in your households. We were able to see Mary Kathryn on her 41st Birthday....did I say 41...can't be. It was fun to see how her family had decorated the house with balloons and streamers...I understand they woke her up before 6:30 to present the traditional breakfast in bed! Anyway she's a wonderful daughter and we love her a whole bunch! We were able to tend Zach and Jackson for a night and see Zach's musical production of Cinderella...it was great and Zach looked very handsome in his tux! Jackson played the piano for us and he's really coming along. Zach was to play in Church today and I'm sure it went very well. We were also able to see the Bingham-Alta playoff game where Shelby marched and then Nathan's championship game which his team won too!!!!how exciting a week-end was that... By the way we also saw Beau and Cheryle and they weren't doing too well. Both of them feeling pretty miserable with the flu...hope they are feeling better today. Granny was doing pretty well last week. I'm going down tomorrow to spend the day so I will keep you all posted. Dad/PaPa Joe is very, very busy in the ward. We have two missionaries coming home and two going out this month as well as Ward Council Christmas Party at our house and "Walk to Bethlehem" activity for the ward. We also have a ward temple day on the 19th and delivering baskets to the needy on the 20th...But he is being blessed...we drove home in a raging snow storm last night and then he shoveled the driveway and road for about 2 1/2 hours after we got home and left at 5:30 for his bishopric meetings! He certainly is in good shape!! Did I mention that Jennifer's choir, Mountain Aire, performed a great concert in October. We really enjoyed their beautiful music that Jen had taught them. I understand that Joseph has his first official date this month...a formal dance I believe! (and it was girl's choice) Pretty nice to turn 16 and have the girls ask you out! Samuel and PaPa Joe and Joseph had a great deer hunt! They didn't get anything but I think they really had fun together! We have several world travelers in our family; Jamon and Laura have been in Miami this past week for Jamie's work. I saw an e-mail picture with Laura and the Miami Heat mascot..they must have been at the game...Beau and Cheryle have been in Chicago recently and had a great time...(maybe that's where they got this flu) Mary is working several shifts at the hospital each week and she's so busy it makes me dizzy!
Shelby is getting ready for Drill Team competitions every Saturday in December and Kirsi is in a dance production at BYU this month. Nathan is in a school play which will be presented in January and Dawson just won third place in his first Chess Tournament! Ryan will be trying out for the school basketball team soon. We wish him well! He's quite the athelete.. Joseph, Sam, Ben and David are working on their string performances which they will share at the Care Center during the Christmas season. Update on our darling little Jacob. Jen was able to secure a treadmill and they are going to teach Jacob to walk..check out her facebook for the details..Wow Jacob is a lucky little guy to have such a great family! I love you guys...thanks for being such a great family!

I'm hoping we can all be together for Thanksgiving. Love, Mom, Kathy Grandmother
